Since its establishment in 1992, Suncoast Baptist Church has been a steadfast source of ministry for the Homosassa Springs community. Our congregation primarily consists of mature believers.  We enjoy our northern friends that join us during the winter months. Our worship services provide a refreshing return to the basics, focusing on expositional teaching and the joyful singing of hymns. We extend a warm welcome to all our guests.  

We have directed significant portions of our finances towards supporting ministries making an impact globally for Christ. This commitment aligns with our overarching goal of spreading the Gospel to the ends of the earth. We extend an invitation for you to join our ministry, where simplicity, community, and a passion for global outreach converge.

Thomas Couric has been serving as Pastor of Suncoast Baptist Church since 2013.  Tom gave his life to Christ at a young age and has been called to serve in pastoral ministry since 1983.  He has a Ph.D. in New Testament from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas.   He has been happily married to Martha, an early childhood educator and our church pianist, since 1978.  They have three children and five grandchildren.  Tom has been pastor of four churches in his career including Central Baptist in Grand Prairie, TX (1983-1989), First Baptist Lipan, TX (1989-1991) and Fellowship Baptist Church in Olathe, KS (1993-2012).  He is a gifted teacher with a fervent belief in the Great Commission of the Church to go and make disciples of all nations.  He has been blessed to teach the Bible in Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia and Central America.
